A memory is a treasure that survives….
Mr. David J. Dodds
University of Dubuque Class of ’74; Former First Officer, Northwest Airlines
Loving Son, Husband, Father, Friend
On Sunday, August 16, 1987, the Northwest Airlines DC-9, which First Officer Dodds co-piloted, crashed outside of Detroit. Only one passenger survived.
David is remembered by his family, friends and co-workers as a good person, an avid golfer, a wonderful father, a good pilot, and someone who just loved to fly. He was an experienced professional commercial pilot; an enthusiastic flyer who did not think of his profession as just a job. He was loved and is deeply missed by his family and friends who established this charity golf outing in his honor and memory.
